In 2023 we used 60% recycled material in our manufacturing

During 2023, we used 60% recycled material in the production of our PVC-U cable management products. This achievement is part of our continued efforts to improve the construction industry’s impact on natural resources and waste.

We have used recycled material originating from waste PVC-U windows in the manufacture of our products for 30 years. It’s part of our mission to drive positive change in the industry and represents over 2,750 tonnes of waste PVC-U that has been reused effectively for manufacturing our products.

At Marshall-Tufflex, we want ALL PVC-U cable management products installed in buildings to be manufactured with recycled material and we would like this to be a reality by 2028,” explained Jon Chamberlain, Managing Director at Marshall-Tufflex.

The latest figures come as part of a wider strategy of initiatives that we have put into place in a bid to reduce our impact on the environment for future generations.

Jon Chamberlain, Managing Director commented:

“In addition to using recycled material in our manufacturing we are also Planet Mark certified, which provides third-party verification on our environmental credentials, and we are also working towards a gold rating with EcoVadis. Furthermore, to help contractors identify the products and make specifications that will help to make a positive environmental impact, we are able to supply embodied carbon reports on our entire range.

“We are delighted that our PVC-U products were manufactured using an average of 60% recycled material in 2023. We will continue these efforts this year and will work with customers and contractors to specify quality cable management products with higher levels of recycled content wherever possible.”
