Saturday 28th May 2022 marks our 80th birthday! To mark this significant milestone, we are undertaking a range of activities, including a drive to increase the average recycled content in our PVC-U products to 80% by the end of the year.
For eight decades, we have pioneered plastic extrusion and become market leader in the cable management industry. Today, with warehouses in Watford and Manchester, and our head office and manufacturing facility in Hastings, we are marking our 80-year milestone with a series of activities to reflect our ambition.
Notably, we are aiming to build upon our already impressive recycling credentials, with an ambition to increase the average percentage of recycled content used in our PVC-U trunking and conduit systems. We will be applying this expertise in producing quality solutions that incorporate recycled content and aim to reach an average of 80% usage by the end of the year.
Jon Chamberlain, Managing Director said: “We started using recycled content in our manufacturing over 25 years ago and since then, we have refined our processes to produce superior products that retain their high quality while remaining competitively priced. We want to inspire the whole supply chain to think more sustainably when it comes to any PVC-U specification.”
In addition to working with customers to improve sustainability, we have continued to innovate over the past 80 years to provide solutions that make installers work simpler and easier.

In addition to our recycling plans, we are focusing on a number of fundraising initiatives to support local and international causes, as well as hosting a series of giveaways and a celebratory staff event to commemorate our 80th year.
