Injection Moulding Setter

During an exciting time of expansion, we have a new vacancy for an Injection Moulding Setter to join our team based at our Castleham site to operate injection moulding machines and equipment to produce our products. This is a full-time permanent role working 45 hours per week covering the hours of 6am to 3pm, 2pm to 11pm and 10pm to 7am.

What are the main duties of this role?

  • To operate injection moulding machines and equipment to produce products to meet schedule demand.
  • To deliver and maintain sufficient attitude, approach, skill and knowledge to enable you to set up, bring into safe operation, problem solve, improve and provide safe shut-down of tooling and processing equipment associated with the Injection Moulding operation and the manufacture/delivery of PVC product to stock and the Warehouse and Logistics functions of the business.
  • To maintain to an accurate level required records and systems, enabling the monitoring and confirmation of equipment and process performance along with records detailing the volume of output and productivity.
  • Ensuring output is delivered to within the targeted cost, quality and time requirement, noting and reporting upon any variation to the target performance criteria or deviation from any expected operating parameters.
  • To complete with sufficient diligence and accuracy such monitoring, tests and checks as put in place to ensure output and performance is delivered within expected parameters and that such output meets any applied standards or specification requirement.
  • To maintain such processing knowledge to enable accurate and efficient processing of the materials that may be utilised across the moulding operation and the processes employed to deliver output.
  • To maintain a high-level housekeeping across your work area ensuring a safe and healthy work

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience as an Injection Moulding setter in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of polymer materials, tooling, machine parameters, and processing behaviour.
  • Confidence is setting up, optimising, and troubleshooting moulding machines( eg. start-ups, tool changes, first-off-approvals).
  • Ability to read technical drawings, interpret specifications, and follow quality standards.
  • Understanding of Lean Principles, process capability and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to learn structured processes and follow technical instructions.
  • Clear communication towards your team, supervisor and the wider teams, such as Quality and Engineering.
  • Records settings, changes, scrap causes, and issues accurately.
  • Takes ownership of quality and output.
  • Resilience towards problem-solving and demonstrated willingness to learn complex tasks
  • Strong work ethic an reliability
  • Ability to respond well to coaching and constructive feedback.
  • Enjoy a fast paces, target-driven manufacturing environment.
  • Prioritize safety and compliance.
