Inspiring the next generation of Engineers

We are proud to announce that our Operations Manager Dan Wahnon has been presented with two certificates by East Sussex County Council in recognition of his outstanding contributions to education and careers support in the local community.

Dan was commended for delivering engaging and educational after-school club sessions to primary-aged children through the 1066 Future Engineers After School Clubs. These sessions aim to spark curiosity and inspire the next generation of engineers by offering hands-on learning experiences and real-world insights into engineering careers.

In addition, we have also been acknowledged as an industry leader in the academic year 2024-2025 for our continued commitment to supporting careers education across schools and colleges in East Sussex. This includes the Open Doors Project, an initiative to connect College students with opportunities in the local manufacturing industry in which we welcomed enthusiastic students into our facilities.

"It’s been a privilege to work with young learners and share the exciting possibilities a career in engineering can offer. It’s important we inspire and support the next generation, and I’m proud to do this on behalf of Marshall-Tufflex."
