We’ve expanded our Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme with the launch of a new GRP Cable Management Systems seminar, providing consultants, specifiers and contractors with practical guidance on the specification and installation of Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) cable management systems.
Accredited by The CPD Certification Service, the one-hour seminar is delivered in person by a member of our Specification Team and has been developed to help attendees understand where GRP offers the greatest advantages over traditional cable management materials.
The seminar explores the composition and manufacture of GRP, explains how to assess environmental corrosion classes, and compares the performance of GRP with steel and aluminium cable management systems. It also covers best practice for installation, relevant industry standards, and guidance on selecting the most appropriate solution for a range of applications.
As demand grows for cable management systems capable of performing in harsh and corrosive environments, GRP is becoming an increasingly important specification choice. During the session, we look at its key characteristics, including corrosion resistance, lightweight construction, electrical insulation, low maintenance requirements and long service life, as well as its suitability for sectors such as water and wastewater, rail, marine, chemical processing, renewable energy and healthcare.
The addition of this seminar further strengthens our CPD offering, enabling us to support consultants and contractors with up-to-date technical knowledge that can be applied to real-world projects. Whether you’re designing infrastructure for challenging environments or looking to broaden your understanding of modern cable management systems, the seminar provides practical, specification-led guidance from our experienced technical team.
